Welcome To The Auction!

Dick Butkus is a former NFL Linebacker, and Hall of Famer, who is now making a difference off the field. The Dick Butkus Golf Classic will be held on April 22, 2016 to raise funds for The Butkus Foundation.

The focus of the Foundation is to advance the health and wellness of Americans, whether it's honoring players or youth coaches, or teaching people how to eat, train and live. The I Play Clean™ movement encourages active teens to train hard, eat well, and play with attitude, instead of resorting to performance-enhancing drugs.

The Butkus Award® is an NCFAA-sanctioned award that honors the top linebackers in the country. In 2008, it was expanded to recognize linebackers at the pro, college and prep levels. A new tradition of honoring the real sports heroes - volunteers and modestly-paid youth coaches, began in 2013 in Chicago. The Foundation hopes to facilitate similar programs in communities across the Country.

Butkus is also developing the Takes Heart program based on his view that we need to mobilize American adults to take their heart seriously and embrace their cardiovascular health. This is an initiative that raises awareness, encourages people to assess their risk factors, encourages scans when appropriate, and supports the necessary modifications to their lifestyle-practical guidance about nutrition, exercise and stress management. These activities are supported through individual donations and corporate partnerships.
